The Bible

 

The Bible is the Word of God. We believe it to be inerrant and infallible in the original autographs--that is, the original Hebrew and Greek manuscripts as written by the authors of Scripture under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit.

God in His providence saw fit to preserve many ancient manuscripts of the Bible. Thousands of Hebrew and Greek manuscripts exist, both from the Old Testament and New Testament periods.

Since the Bible was originally delivered in the Hebrew and Greek languages, our copies are translations of ancient manuscripts. The following links reference translations of the Scriptures which seek to faithfully render the original languages in contemporary English.
