Chad Van Dixhoorn serves as Professor of Church History and Theology at Reformed Theological Seminary in Charlotte, North Carolina. Before moving to Charlotte this year, Chad was Professor of Church History and Director of the Craig Center for the Study of the Westminster Standards at Westminster Theological Seminary in Glenside, Pennsylvania. Chad is a leading expert on the Westminster Assembly, He was elected a Fellow of the Royal Historical Society in recognition of his five-volume work The Minutes and Papers of the Westminster Assembly, 1643-1653 (Oxford University Press). Chad is the author of several additional works on the Westminster Assembly, and, together with his wife, Emily, recently coauthored Gospel-Shaped Marriage. Chad is an ordained minister in the Orthodox Presbyterian Church, and has pastored congregations in both the United Kingdom and the United States. He and Emily have five children and reside in Charlotte, North Carolina.
